Well, about 6 months late, but the memories are too important to just skip! For Christmas last year we had a great time and got to head home to Idaho!
But first, we got to watch the twins in their Christmas concert at school!
Addison did ballet for after school and got to perform with her friends from the class.
They were both angels in this number.
And cute Christmas attire for this number.
They did a great job and were so cute! Too bad I couldn't get them to both look at me at the same time!!
One of my favorite things about Christmas each and every year is this...
Andrew LOVES rocking out in the car to the Christmas carols. He is so cute and so much fun to watch sing some of his favorite songs!
Family Picture at our IRRI Christmas Party.
We finally made it to IDAHO!! First thing we (Andrew) had to do was build a snowman! He did a great job and had a little help lifting the different layers up, but he was determined to get it all done!
We got to celebrate Josh's birthday in Idaho. He loves butterfingers and was happy to have some again! Funny thing is, now I seem to find them in the Philippines all the time!
He got his new Ipad and cover for his birthday.
He also loves cookies! So we always do cookies instead of cake on his birthday.
Being in Idaho for Christmas meant we got the chance to go to Salt Lake City for a few days. I wanted to show the kids Temple Square with all the lights, and we wanted to show them BYU also!
We took the kids to BYU bookstore and "made" them buy something! Seriously, A couple of the children (Brayden mostly) was mad he couldn't buy something (pokemon cards) elsewhere instead of BYU memorabilia! Crazy!!! He finally did find something he would be ok with and everyone else didn't have a hard time at all! It was great fun!
One of the best times of the day was spending lunch with our friends the Hortin's! We have known them for almost 12 years, and oh how our group picture has changed over the years! We also got to eat at Brick Oven Pizza. . . Still miss it every day! It's my kids new favorite restaurant and we can't wait to re-do this memory again soon!
The lights at Temple square are just amazing! We didn't know how we would handle the cold night, but everyone was a trooper and we have amazing family members who found us all coats!
We loved seeing the temple in the midst of all the great lights!
Kids thought it was pretty cool to get to go inside the Conference center. We were able to take a great tour of it and they loved getting to see the building in real life! Not just on TV!
Great original artwork. Evan loves the 2,000 stripling warriors. . . I love their mothers.
One of my favorite spots. I love the Christus and the peaceful feeling of this place.
This was an extra treat! We didn't realize these were in the Joseph Smith Memorial building and when we were there, there wasn't a line! There had been a LOOONNNGGG line the night before when we had come in for hot chocolate, but that next morning, we were on our way to lunch and there was NO LINE! Seriously great timing on our part! So we went over and donated! The kids kept wanting to donate more. . . uh we had already selected an expensive option and a couple cheaper options as well as water, we had to stop at some point, I still had to pay for lunch! It was really a cool experience and a wonderful campaign the church had going on.
Top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building outside of the restaurant we were going to.
Best thing ever! Fun Holiday drinks perfect for the whole family! This is the Grinch drink. It was yummy!
Can't beat peppermint hot chocolate!! Lunch was good too
Beautiful large Christmas Tree in the Lobby.
Back to Idaho we go!
It's amazing that my daughter's hair will stay curled when we curl it!! haha, in the humid Philippines, a curl won't stay in for more than one minute. In Idaho it stayed for a couple of days!!
Christmas Eve Jammies. Andrew would like them to be red from now on. He didn't appreciate the green! :)
Grandma and Grandpa's tree full of presents!
Addison picked this out for Josh for his Bishop's office.
Evan's new magic hat.
Addison asked for a couch caddie for her drinks, so they won't spill. Couldn't believe it was a real thing, so I totally got it for her!
Evan and I got diving lessons. We both will be getting our certification for diving!
Andrew's happy place.
Brayden's happy place!!
Found this small handheld gamer at Walmart. Love Walmart!
Robotics for Brayden.
Love my handsome husband and his hats!
Addison got a camera and proceeded to take pictures of all the people that came to the house. Here are a few of them!! Your welcome!! :)
Christmas was fantastic!! We loved getting to see everyone and to get to be home and see family again! We miss them and can't wait until Summer 2019!!
