Brayden's 6th BIRTHDAY!!!!

Well, Brayden has turned 6.  I can't believe it, but it's true.  He's even acting like he's six.  The day after his birthday we had Stake Conference.  He behaved SO WELL for the WHOLE two hours!!  When asked later what his favorite thing was for the day he said "listening to the speakers at stake conference".  He's so funny.  We love him so much and he is such a wonderful son, brother and overall young man.  Happy Birthday Brayden!!

These are the Halloween themed chocolate pretzels he wanted as his treat to take to school.  He said all the kids liked them so much they kept asking him for the recipe!  He was pretty pleased about them.

This was his pile of presents which he opened first thing Saturday morning!

 These were his gifts:
A Perry the Platypus watch from Mom and Dad.

A Mario Movie from Evan.

A Phineas and Ferb book from the twins.

Birthday clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Dance (which he changed into right away! He LOVES birthday clothes!!)

A remote control helicopter from Grandma and Grandpa Dance.

And a rocket and car that really goes by using baking soda and vinegar, from his parents.

This is the video that I was able to capture of the rocket ship.

These are his pancakes he wanted for his breakfast.  He wanted Halloween themed pancakes.  Do you see an overall theme for his birthday?

 This is his cake.
It was a surprise as he didn't really know what he wanted but did want it Halloween themed.  So I did a Frankenstein for the bottom layer, decorations on the middle layer and a pumpkin trick or treat basket for the top.

This is a video of him being sung to!

He loved it!!

His Grandpa Cobb sent him some money and he was able to go pick out another present at the store.  He of course wanted to be like Evan and have his own Star Wars ship, so that is what he picked out.  I helped him build it and he had fun.

Since we went to the Saturday session of Stake Conference Brayden got to pick where we ate dinner.  He picked McDonalds.

All the kids agreed with his decision as I rarely allow them happy meals and we tend to go more for breakfast than any other meal at McDonalds.

Overall he had a great birthday and had a great time.

a couple things. . .

So, a couple of small things that have no relation to one another!!

1st, Evan has been saving his money for the last few months.  He finally had enough to go and buy himself a lego ship.  He spent one Sunday afternoon building it.  Doesn't it look cool?  He did such a GREAT job!!

2nd, I opened the fruit drawer the other day and this is what I found.  I do recall seeing the twins with random apples the day before.  Never knew what happened to them.  Guess I found out.  They are so funny!!!  It was probably a good thing that the drawer was almost empty!!

School Pictures

The kids picked out their backgrounds.  They got to pick two since I only did digital files this year.  So, here they are.  As you can see, the photographer doesn't have much imagination when it comes to poses as Evan and Brayden are posed EXACTLY the same!!!  Oh well, they're still cute kids!!!

 Brayden 1st grade

 Evan 3rd grade

How big was that Spider?

There was a huge spider on the table cloth by Addison.  Once it was dead she showed us exactly how big it was!  She wasn't really THAT far off :)  After her sizing of the spider, notice her tell you that it was "disgusting".  So true, so true!!  Such a sweet girl!

Fall FUN!!!

Well, to start. . .

Addison saw these cute hair things at the mall. . . of course I let her buy them, they were 1 dollar!!!

Boy wasn't it worth it!!  She is so cute!! She loves them!

This is a great picture of Andrew.  He wanted a picture too since addison was getting pictures done!

The next day I took the babies apple picking!!!
They bothed loved the animals at the "farm" we went to.

These two, apple picking, were so much fun!
Andrew loved looking for the apples.

Here he is getting one apple while Addison looks for more.

This is our apple bag.  We filled it full.  It wasn't too hard to do as you can see. . .

Andrew picked more than one apple at a time!  He was SO cute trying to carry three big apples at a time!

See, it took most his body to hold onto them all.

I love this picture of him looking up to find more apples.  He never stopped.  He was such an excellent helper!  They both were.

A few days later we decided it was time to make a giant leaf pile.  Evan had been wanting one for some time, so I went out and helped them create a good sized pile!!

What do you think?  Pretty big, right?

Here are the pictures of all the kids in the pile.
Evan

Addison 1

Addison 2 (couldn't decide which was cuter!)

Andrew 1

Andrew 2 (again, had to share both)

Brayden

All of them!!  I love Andrew's smile in this one, so much fun!

Now if you would like, you may watch as they jump and hide and dive into the pile!!!

1st day of school!

So here are all the great pictures from the first day of school!!

Here is Brayden. . .

going to 1st grade!!

with his cool new Angry Birds back pack!

Evan, going into 3rd grade!!!  He's getting so big.  He is sporting a cool new Mario backpack!!

They are cute kids!!  They each got one new pair of colored jeans and both enjoyed them very much!  I though Evan was sporting a bit too much red, but he loved it!

Aren't they just cute!

Addison had to get in on the pictures.

She likes to be apart of whatever her brothers are doing.

Andrew was just finishing his breakfast and didn't want to get down for a picture.

So, why are the kids heading to the garage with their Dad and not heading to the bus?  Well, the bus wants to pick them up at 6:40 in the morning. . . not happening.  So Josh is driving the kids to school on his way to school.  It's working out really well thus far.

There they all go. . .

off to school!!!!

Have a good year!!!
