We had a lot of fun this Christmas. The kids were spoiled, the parents had fun, and Grandpa Cobb came to visit. We really enjoyed all that is Christmas. Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

Winter Fun
The kids got to play outside. They had a lot of fun and Brayden was in Heaven being pulled around on the sled by his big brother!! It also kept them out of my hair for awhile as Josh is home for about a month.

FHE - Pretzels and Ginger Bread House
So for FHE we were going to decorate our Ginger Bread house. Well, as if that wasn't enough, we decided to make pretzels as well. It was our fist try at home made pretzels, and they turned out yummy even though I left them in to long. I also learned that smaller is better!!

Once in a life time shot!
This is the last thing that I needed to catch up on with my posts. This is a once in a life time shot. The moon and Jupiter and Venus are in such a formation and in the right spot to see a frowny face. It was really cool!! The funniest part though, in Australia (southern hemisphere) they will see a smiley face!! Pretty cool huh?!! We thought so.
Thanksgiving 2008
So for Thanksgiving we went up to Maine to celebrate with Josh's family. We haven't seen them in about 5 years, and some of his family had not ever met the kids. So, it was joyous for a lot of people.
This is Evan with his Great-Grandad Cobb. He is a wonderful man and we just love him!!
Evan and Brayden played with this dog so much that Grandad and Nana gave it to them!! They also got a cat. They love these animals.
This is their cousin Chase. This was the first time we got to see him. He is one years old. That is his Mom Amber in the picture. She is Josh's sister. It was fun to see them and to meet Chase.
Overall, Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. I don't have pictures from his Dad's house yet, they are on his Dad's camera, but when I do, I know there will be a couple of choice pictures I will have to share!!

Decorating for Christmas
We got back from Thanksgiving in Maine, and the next day had to decorate for Christmas. Josh and I were both sick, but we have our priorities straight, and so the decorating still happened!
This is our cute kids by the tree skirt. It is animated and lights up and sings. We really like it!
Jennie's Birthday wish
One of the things that I got for my Birthday this year was the husband who would do whatever task I needed done! This was the most death defying (not really), but it was fun to see him up there. Evan kept telling him to be careful and not to fall. He was worried! It was cute. (oh, he was hanging up blinds.)
Josh's field trip
Josh took a trip to the USDA headquarters with his class. This is the only picture I got back. Very fitting I guess of what they did for that trip!!

Quilts
So it seems that November is proving to be not as full of Blogger stuff as other months. I've been mostly working on the kids' Christmas gifts and waiting impatiently for Josh's birthday. . . he's going to have a great day!! Anyway, here is the first thing that I finally finished. They are levi quilts, with BYU Fleece on the back. They are tied, and I think for my official "first" quilt turned out ok.
This one is Brayden's quilt.
This one is Evan's quilt. He got to pick between the two BYU materials the one that he liked the best. He picked this one. I like them both, but hopefully the kids' will like them.
Well, on to the next project. . . super hero capes!! (easy!!)

First Snowfall
You are looking at the first snowfall here at our house. Now I usually wouldn't put this kind of thing on the blog, but I thought it was note worthy. You see, yesterday it was fairly nice, and it was also the day the heating guy was scheduled to come and fix our heater. Our heater is now fixed, and what do you know, the next day it snowed!! So glad I was prepared! :)

Pumpkin Carving
Tonight for FHE we carved and painted Pumpkins! The kids had a lot of fun, and they did a great job! Josh did the spider pumpkin and I did the face. They turned out good, and tomorrow we will put them outside to see them glow!

Trunk or Treat
We went to a trunk or treat tonight at the church. It was rainy, so we kept it all in the gym. We had a Chilli dinner, then the kids went to different activities, we ate doughnuts and then we cleaned up. The kids then got to come back into the gym and "trunk or treat". Evan and Brayden had a lot of fun and enjoyed wearing their costumes, getting candy and of course, eating it. Overall it was fun.

Cake, Cake and Cake!
Brayden had a really fun Birthday. He opened his presents, and had a busy day 0f playing and errands, cake, and friends. Overall I think he had fun. He is now 2. :( But he is cuter than ever, and we love him very much! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Dance
and Grandpa Cobb for the gifts for him, and for everyone else who also sent him a card or well wishes. We missed you all and thought about you! :)
Cars and Trucks are a favorite of Brayden's, so that is what kind of cake he recieved!
He thought he was suppose to stare at the candle. He didn't really get the blowing it out thing.
He sure loved eating his cake and ice cream though!! He was really cute!
One of the kids (Vera) that came over gave Brayden this plane. He loves planes and knows exactly how to make them fly!
Brayden's Birthday
It's Brayden's Birthday today! I can't believe that he is 2 years old. I really feel like I just had him yesterday! I truly dislike my children aging. We celebrated anyway, so here are the beginings of the pictures. Video will soon come, and more picts.

Applesauce
152 apples later turned into these fabulous 34 quart jars of Applesauce! Fun, but long!! I am glad to have gotten them all done! Evan is glad to get to eat them all!!

Grisamore Farm
So today we decided that it would be fun to go to Grisamore Farm. We were able to see there animals, as well as pick some apples. . . ok, if you really know me, you know "some" means way to much!! It was really fun, and now I have a bunch of applesauce to make!! The kids had fun, and we also found that they still had raspberries for picking. We picked up just enough for one batch of jam. Overall, it was fun. Here are the picts.
Sheep and Horses were the animal of today. The kids really liked the horses.
If Evan would have stood up straight, and Brayden a little closer to the lines, we would know how tall they are!! Now, at least we have an estimate!

Brayden Jumping
Brayden decided that he needed to practice jumping in order to learn how. He had such determination!! He practiced for about an hour total. By the end he actually was getting the hang of it!

Juice and Jam!
So, from picking grapes to cooking grapes!! This is what my Saturday looked like. I was making the juice ready for Monday to bottle it. It was pretty interesting.
This is a good close up picture of the grapes being "sieved" through a cheese cloth. The juice drains through and the skins and seeds stay on the cloth.
This is the fruit of my labors. My friend Becky came over and helped me make the jam today. I didn't want jelly, so it was a different process all together, but I think 2 dozen jars later it turned out well!! I also got the juice processed and bottled. It tastes pretty good!! Wednesday I am picking Raspberries, so Thursday is raspberry jam day!! I am pretty excited!
