I started this blog back in July when my sister came. . . I never finished it until now! So here is all the fun things we did while they were here!
It was a long journey!
View from the plane!
They made it!!
Day 1:
We took them around IRRI and the rice fields and all the things that IRRI has to see!
For dinner: We HAD to take them first off to a fun restaurant with Filipino food!
We may be on the restaurants facebook page. . . I should look!
These are fun because the tables are each on a raft attached to the main walkway.
While waiting for our food, we explored all the things to see.
LOVE these elephants! The statues are cool too! :)
Serenade at dinner time!
Days 2-3:
We went to the beach! I couldn't have predicted the tropical storms on both coasts of the Philippines at that time, but we made the most of it and had as much fun as we could!!
We also had a LOT of slow mo camera fun! This is just one of about 20 such videos!
Didn't discover this lemon slush until the last evening. . . good thing for my wallet! Not so good thing for my taste buds! It was amazing!
We then took them to the Manila Ocean Park. . .
It was really fun and the light show was actually really well done! It was fun and everyone was soaked by the end of the evening!!
When we got back, Amanda watched all the kids and let Josh and myself celebrate our 14 year wedding anniversary!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! It was nice to have some time without kids!
Day 7ish. . .
We went to Sky Ranch! It was a fun amusement park that you only had to pay for the rides you actually rode!
The Zip Line was the star of the day!
Day 8ish. . .
I took them to Manila!
We shopped and ate and had a fun day in which we didn't take enough pictures!!
My backyard was also full of fun for the kids!
Not to mention the introduction to the giant spiders we get here sometimes! This is only one of maybe two that I have even seen this year!
Oh, and they all got to swim and swim and swim! Day and night, they swam!
I think they had fun overall!! I know we did! We LOVED having cousins here to play with and enjoy a bit of our summer with!
