Summer's are a time to explore and have fun! We haven't had much of a chance to explore the fun kid area's of Manila, until now!! Hold on, there is a lot of fun to go through!
We went to the Ark Avilon Zoo.
Nothing is as much fun as holding birds all over your arms and head! We thought they would put one bird on the kids' shoulder, we were wrong! They just loaded them up with 4-5 birds!
Andrew didn't want to hold birds. So he didn't get a picture of doing that. They also got to feed a bunch of different animals. They thought is was funny, holding this carrot on the stick while all the rabbits chewed on it on the other end! It was really entertaining.
Addison and Evan each fed a banana to this cat bear. It couldn't jump off it's perch, so they were safe. It's only found on one Island here in the Philippines.
Then we noticed they had an ape walking around with it's trainer and so we got a picture with him!
Brayden didn't know what to think!!
This mouse is not real!! haha! They still posed with it! Safer than their next choice! If you are reading this and your name is Grandma Dance, you might want to skip ahead a bit. You won't really care for the next few pictures!!! :)
Snakes!!! One giant long snake that all of the kids could hardly wait to sit with!
Then, I ended back over by the ape, and he said I could hold it!! He grabbed onto me like any baby would! His hands are soft like a human's and he was so cute!
SO some other kids of mine decided to try!
Such a cool, once in a lifetime, fun activity!
Of course, we took the kids out to lunch before heading to our next activity!
This is the kids getting ready to jump on some trampolines at the jumpyard!
They had trampolines, climbing walls, monkey bars, foam pits and basketball courts.
Here are some pictures mixed in with some videos. Enjoy! Some are slow-mo, so they are that much more fun!
So, the next weekend, we decided it would be fun to go to an amusement park here called Enchanted Kingdom or EK if you are a cool kid!! This is us on the sky wheel thing.
Aren't my twins so cute waiting in line for one of the rides??
Addison stole Andrew's hat. She looked cute in it and Andrew is nice and didn't get mad at her!
I might be biased, but my kids are SO CUTE!!! LOVE THEM!
We all went on the bumper cars and bumper boats.
Only Braden went on the pirate ship ride. . . didn't look up once!! Said he loved it when he was done! haha!!
We all went on the swings. . . one of my all time favorite ride!
Evan's the only one that made a new friend!
But all the kids enjoyed their cotton candy!
Now for the best for last!! Ok, so it's debatable how best it was! We aren't the kind of people who enjoy belly drop rides, but we all decided we could handle the log ride! WE WERE WRONG!!! The first downhill, was horrible!! The second one looked like it was even worse and as you can see by all of our faces, we anticipated death. Andrew is still mad at me for making him go on this! Ok, so he isn't mad at me (he is standing here telling me this), he made his own decision to go!
As you can see, I'm holding him as tight as I can and Evan is having a jolly old time!
Here's a close up in case you want to see better! (sorry, it's a picture of a picture!)
Unlike the other boat, we didn't keep our eyes open at all!
The other boat consisted of the brave souls in the family! Addison's face is classic and worth the pain this ride caused everyone else!!!
Close up. HER FACE IS JUST THAT GOOD!!
The end of our day at EK!
The next week, I took my kids with some other friends of ours, and we went to KidZania! It's this cool kid town where they get to just be the ones doing the jobs and earning fake money and spending the fake money learning other things. The kids really liked it and Evan even said it's one of his favorite things we have done this summer!!
This is Evan and Andrew writing for a magazine.
Addison made cookies.
Brayden went to driving school.
He bottled soda.
Addison was in a play with her friends. It was SO FUN!
Evan and Andrew were buddies all day and here they were reporters for the newspaper!
Brayden worked making ice cream.
Where he got to take home a sample.
They really enjoyed doing all the different things and just having time learning and doing so many different things! We have to go back to do more one day!
Another thing I tried to do this summer was give each kid their own day with their mom! It was a success each time!
Evan got to walk around making fun at furniture with me! This is a hobbit couch, I'm sure of it! No idea who would buy such a small couch, but it made Evan feel extra big! After this, we went and saw Wonder Women in the movie theatre. We had fun with that!
We also went and got our nails done! Mother/daughter Mani/Pedi's!! Her first and she loved it!
Pure relaxation!!
Cute toe nails!
Brayeden and I got to go to the Mind Museum. He is the only child that hadn't been there, so he was happy to get to finally go!
Cool Astronaut pictures!!!
Floating heads anyone?
He sure had fun!
Andrew and I went to a game place called Time Zone! We had fun playing the arcade games and walking around the mall. We took some fun pictures of him and I. I'll have to take a picture of the pictures and add them in here!
So, they have all had a day with their Mom. They all want more than one and love having me all to themselves! We have also done just two kids with Mom. That's good too!
It's rainy season here in the Philippines. Sometimes, when you want to go to your friends house, you have to be creative with the umbrella. Attaching it to her scooter was just plain cute!! Good thinking kid!
Well, that's it for now. Amanda is coming next week so we will have some more fun updates with cousins, soon!!!!
