So, in our search for the perfect beach spot, we decided to go up to Subic Bay and try out a place. The view was incredible, the pool was still sea water and there wasn't many reefs for snorkeling. We had fun anyway and went on a few more adventures while there!
This is the view from the pool.
We relaxed all morning long!!
Then walked over to a better sand beach area and let the kids build sand castles for awhile!
We decided after lunch to go check out the Zoobic Safari. This place was one of my favorites from the trip! We got to take a picture with a live TIGER!! It was cool to be able to pet the tiger and feed it for a minute!
Josh got to feed our tiger and Evan had the tail. . . It was pretty cool!
Then we took pictures with this Eagle owl on our shoulders!
I of course, didn't want to be TOO serious!! It was also pretty cool! Not often I get a bird to perch on my shoulder!
The Liger exhibit was fascinating! Here we were, in a small out of the way Zoo, and they had a Liger! It roared for us and was so cool! Yeah, I know, I've been saying it was so cool a lot! But it was!!
The lady showed us these very special cats called Bengal cats. She said they were expensive are rare and valuable. . . we started laughing and told her we used to own one! Not that rare or expensive and ours looked more pure bread then theirs!! So now I have to share this with our old cats new owners so they understand how special their cat is!! I'm still laughing that they had a Liger and followed that up with a domestic Bengal house cat!!
Kids fed some Camels and didn't get spit on.
Brayden took a picture of me, taking a picture of them!
Classic Zebra.
Andrew thinks he is a real ranger now! Jungle + hat + glasses = Ranger
We got into a caged car and went and fed Chicken to a tiger.
The Video I got of this was spectacular! If I can upload it I will! He jumped on top of the car and over to the next car. Not bad for a small Zoobic Safari!! Overall, it was really a highlight of Subic Bay!
Andrew took this sunset picture! One of his best pictures EVER!!!
The next day we got up and went first thing to Ocean Adventure. It had the potential to be really really great, but the organization of the place isn't the best and I felt like we were fumbling through trying to figure out what we were suppose to do! I would pre-book tickets ahead of time online, next time.
Because honestly, who doesn't want to hang out with a Dolphin?
Kiss a Dolphin?
Pet a Dolphin?
or Hug a Dolphin?
It was an hours worth of being in the water hanging out with this dolphin. It was pretty dang awesome!
Grandpa even got into the fun!
So did Brayden,
and Evan!!
However, they were all old enough to get to SWIM with the dolphin!!!
AND DANCE with the Dolphin!!
Just chillin with the dolphin is good too!
It was a really great experience overall.
So, will be go back to Subic? Possibly. The tiger and the dolphins might call us back, but I would like to find a different hotel to stay at!! We shall see. Again, the words "Mom, I have always wanted to do this!" left the mouths of a few people during our stay in Subic!
