Grandpa Cobb and Grandma Debbie come to visit! (Taal, Tagaytay)

Well, it's spring break!!!!  AND Dad and Debbie came to visit!!  Yeah!  So excited to have them here!  So, instead of being lazy all week, which was the vote of my oldest child, we had plans to explore and see all we could!

First stop was Taal Volcano!  If you would like all the cool history, look here.  It was a great day and as Andrew said, "Mom, I have always wanted to do this".  It was great!!

We started off riding a cool boat over to the island volcano in the middle of it.  When Andrew found out we were in a volcano crater, he was immediately in awe and couldn't believe it!  It was SO cute!

Once we were there, we got to ride these small mule like ponies.  We tried to call them mules or donkeys and were corrected that they are indeed a horse, just a special breed that can survive in the intense heat and humidity of the island!!  They were really strong sure footed animals and the kid's LOVED them!!  They all had "always wanted to ride one of those"!

The view going up was superb!

The view inside the other volcano crater was great!

As was the view of the mainland area!

I thought this was the end of the ride, but I was wrong.  I would show you the pictures of us going straight down to that lake in the crater above, but it was terrifying and we were just glad we survived!  Funny though, the kids didn't seem to mind the ride down!  It was just steep, bumpy, and I wasn't sure my horse would make it (he did slip once!)!!  Once down by the lake we just looked, touched the warm/hot water that it is, and went right back up! Sorry no pictures of that! Not so bad going up!  We were glad we went, though.  It was awesome!
Then, we ate at a place called Bag of Beans. . .

It was good.  We enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the food was good too.

It was a nice start to our adventure filled week!
