Roadshow

So Saturday was the Roadshow productions, FINALLY!!!!  The productions were really clever!  There were three "puppet" shows, three broadway type shows, and three shadow plays.  Evan was involved in one of the shadow plays.  Even though we didn't understand all that was said, we understood the messages and the funny things and overall enjoyed ourselves!!

This was our first introduction to what the "puppet" shows would be like!  This first one was SO Funny!!  They did a great job and had us all laughing so hard!

This was the second.  They merged the real puppets together with the human puppets for an enjoyable presentation.

The third group took a different approach.  Having the "strings" on them like puppets was clever.  This was the one I wished I knew what they were saying, would have helped us enjoy it more.  We got the overall theme of it, but a LOT of words that we didn't understand. . . maybe one day we will.

I LOVED how dramatic the main guy character was in this production.  He really put forth all he had and really portrayed each feeling and transition he was going through on his journey.  Probably my favorite broadway production.

This was part of the second production.  Best costumes ever!  They really put SO much work into all of the productions!

This was the third broadway.  It centered around that girl on the right.  She actually was quite good also.  This one had more words again and seemed long, but overall was good.

OK, Shadowplays.  THEY ARE SO COOL!!  The first group was fantastic! They went above and beyond basic images and learned to create images as a group and using the computer and sound.

Here is the one where it was truly raining and great use of technology!

The temple there is made of people!  I was so proud of them and I didn't even know them!  I didn't get a picture of the large/close-up of a man's head and face, but it was SO impressive!  They then used a flashlight to show his tears dropping down his face!  SO COOL!!

The second shadowplay was short and I didn't get any pictures!!  I was still mesmerized by the first one and anticipating Evan's group coming up LAST!!
So this is Evan's group.
They did a pretty nice job!  They incorporated the red scarf through the whole thing.  It was creative and well done to think that through!
Can you spot which pictures have Evan in them??

The shadow plays were probably the best because it's all done through scenery, imagery, and shadows, NO WORDS!!  We understood all of it!  But it was also just nice to watch and see the hard work all come together!  If I had the video uploaded I would try to post it. . . maybe I will if I ever get it on the computer!!
