Well, Brayden turned 10!! It was a fun day. He was so excited! I think his birthday is his most favorite day of the entire year! He told me he can't decide which birthday was his best ever, so I'll take that as a good sign!
I made him this giant cinnamon roll for his birthday breakfast. It was so cool! He loved it and we sliced it up and each had a piece. We didn't even eat it all, yet.
He had a pile of presents of course. Don't you love the barbie box Addison used to put her card? All the kids love to give the birthday kid something. It's fun for them to get involved.
We then went to Manila Ocean Park. I was so hesitant on deciding what activity to do for his birthday. Sometimes we have parties at the house, or go to movies or other things small, but Brayden is just a fun one to take places for his birthday. He finds it that much more special! So I had a few things to choose from but with not having been to any of them it was a gamble no matter what I chose! Thank goodness I chose this! It was mostly indoors and with the two typhoons this past week, it was a bit windy!!
We first decided to eat lunch. (we got caught in traffic for an hour, so we arrived a bit later than planned!) I had bought a package for the Ocean Park that included this buffet called the liquid buffet. As we entered the area, we came across our first NO POKEMON GO sign. The kids thought it was great since Brayden thinks he is a Pokemon trainer everyday all the time no pokemon go needed!
It was a cool ambiance of a place.
Really pretty to walk into and all. The food, horrible. I knew it was going to make me sick to my stomach, and it did. Not because of the type of food, just because of the preparation of the food. The noodles were cold, the fish was cold, the pork was tuff and even the fruit salad was iffy. They did have these cool towers of lemonade you could get. That was the only good thing about it! Once we got inside the park I further regretted getting the buffet as our food choices were plentiful inside!
Our first stop should have been the bird kingdom! But we missed seeing the entrance to take pictures by the cool wall!
We went into the Oceanarium instead. It had a jungle theme first off.
Coolest wall of plants. . . oh, and the other wall too! So fun!
Probably one of my favorite pictures was this one of the vines coming down. The kids loved the jungle theme here.
This is looking straight up at them from underneath.
This is what they look like from the side.
This is the other cool wall! The kids just wanted a picture here so bad! They thought it was cool. I'm thinking I'll show our gardner and see if we can get this on the outside of the house somewhere!! :)
The fish were cool. Some were GIANT!! but I didn't get good pictures of them, and some were really, really blue!
This made us excited to go snorkeling soon.
And Andrew LOVED the starfish!
Evan and myself find Sea Horses AMAZING!! We have both loved them our whole lives as it turns out!
This was in the tunnel.
But this one is better of in the tunnel! It's always cool to walk in a tunnel of an aquarium. All hallways should be so cool!
These fish would nibble on your fingers oh so lightly! I thought for sure the fish spa would have similar fish! They had larger ones which you will see soon!
And after living on an island for 4 MONTHS we FINALLY found the ocean!!
No one wanted to leave it. We all really love the ocean.
Oh and the fish spa!! This picture perfectly shows exactly what it was like!!
Here is a link to a video of Brayden at the fish spa!
It was really, really weird. But would we try it again? YES, we would!!
Then it was onto the Antarctic display.
Oh, and inside that was the Christmas display!
Where they had nutcrackers.
and SNOW!!
or really shaved ice. The kids thought it was cool either way!
Then they have this museum within the museum of different characters.
Minions.
Anti-gravity room. . .
Really everything was fastened to the ceiling, you took a picture standing on the floor and then come home and rotate it and walla!! It looks like you're on the ceiling! So fun!
there was climbing this wall with spiderman, which Andrew was really good at!
Chipmunks.
more spiderman.
Turns out my family is all part of the Fellowship of the Ring!! Looks like I have a few hobbits and a gandalf!
We even found Smeagol.
and a that head of the large beast that kills Gandalf. . .
My princess found her slipper.
And everyone got to sit on the Game of Thrones throne. They didn't know what it was, but a really cool looking throne!
We ran into Darth Vader and some storm troopers.
And defended the Galaxy!!
Andrew found Earth.
And IRON MAN!
Then we moved onto the Jelly room. SO COOL!! They use mirrors to make it look like the room is huge and it's impressive!
Lastly, we found the world of creepy crawlers.
So many bugs.
and cool Harry Potter snakes. . . just albino!
This turtle was unlike most turtles I had ever seen! That's it's head sticking out.
Cool shot of this guy.
We were all tired by the end. They all got some kind of souvenir. So they were all so happy!! I was happy because they were SO MUCH CHEAPER than souvenir's in the states at museums!
The ride home was smooth and Brayden requested Oven Pancakes (German Pancakes?) for dinner. He got his own large one, of course.
And he got this cool CHEESEBURGER cake!! Overall it was cool looking. I could tell you all my mistakes, but that was yesterday, today I'm just tired!! It was fun and he LOVED it!
SO, now Brayden is 10 and that much wiser. He didn't want the day to end, but unfortunately after a long pokemon battle with Evan, it did. He enjoys his new pokemon cards, pokemon stuffed animal, pokemon wallet and glow in the dark science kit. He is happy and tries so hard to be helpful. I love this kid. He is one of a kind AMAZING!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAYDEN!! We love you!
