Halloween 2009

I decided to do one long post for Halloween instead of all the little ones. Mostly because it seemed easier this year!

To start off with, we had a lot of pumpkins in our garden, so we got these different face parts for pumpkins and let the kids have fun!


Then, a week later we let them decorate pumpkins. We don't have them carve them. . . it's to messy for Evan anyway, but they do enjoy painting them.

The next event was the ward Trunk or Treat. It was on the 30th.

People thought the "doughnut on the shoulder" move was a good one. It worked, he won! He got a candy bar.

Then, tonight for Halloween!!! The kids got to go Trick or Treating. They were really cute in their costumes.

I think, overall, they had a good Halloween. They got enough candy, between the trunk or treat, and trick or treating, and they have been good about sharing!!

just a quick baby update

So, I have no pictures to share, but I thought I better give a quick update on the babies. It seems that with my previous "issues" (when Brayden was born, my uterus was dangerously thin), and my new diagnosis of mild preeclampsia was all my doctor needed to up the date. We don't have a specific date yet. . . right now our goal is to make it to 34 weeks. That happens to be next Friday, the 6th of November. After that I think it will be fair game. He didn't seem to want to keep me pregnant for as long as 36 weeks, so sometime between the 6th of November, and the 19th of November, these twins should be out!!!!!!!!!!! I am pretty happy about that. I recieved a series of two steroid shots the last couple of days. These shots are to help the babies lungs develop and I needed to take them at least a week before they were born. So we are all set. I just thought I should let you all know!! We are excited, scared, and anxious at all times, but I look forward to being able to stand for more than 15 minutes!! Wish me luck.

Brayden's 3rd Birthday

So, yesterday my baby turned 3. I really can not believe it!! He has gotten so big! I remember last years birthday way to well for him to be having another one so soon!! He did have a great day though. He got spoiled with a ton of presents (thanks to the grandparents), and he got to have a white bear cake. He chose it, of course from a list of other simple options, but was so happy about it. He really is an easy child to impress. For example: He was opening one of his presents, thought it was a box, and was just as excited about that as the rest of his presents. He's pretty funny. Anyway, here are a few pictures of his day.

This is him with his white bear cake. Not really my best work. . . notably the hat. Hey, it was my first hat and I didn't think it through well enough first!! He loved it though, and was just happy it was finally his birthday!

Thanks to the grandparents for sending him such fun presents! He really enjoyed them.

My pregnant belly

So, although this is embarrassing to me. . . I decided to go ahead and post it anyway. This is a progression of my belly expansion. Laugh all you want, just don't tell me about it!!


This is at 15 weeks. I thought I was big then. . . what did I know.


This is at 25 weeks. I love this dress, it will stretch and stretch as much as I need it to.


This is this last week. . . 30 weeks. I now stick out quite far. One good thing, though, is that it makes my bum look small!! :)

I'll take two more pictures. One at 35 weeks, and one the day before we go in for the c-section. The scheduled c-section is on December 4th. I think I can make it. Hopefully.

Update on our last month or so

Since I think that my kids are so cute in so many of their pictures, I decided to do one mass post of a ton of pictures. These are things we have done in the last month or so. Here we go!!




We went to the Ellis Hollow Fair and saw this firefighter in all his gear. The kids thought he was cool. The funny thing is that we thought he was a statue, well except Evan - he was pretty sure he was real. It turns out Evan was right. This guys was an AMAZING statue! I almost poked him to show Evan he wasn't real. . . glad I didn't!!!

The kids got to sit in the driver's seat. They LOVED it.


Brayden really enjoyed his cotton candy and doughnut. Evan told me he was done with his cotton candy because it was "just too sticky". Funny kid.



We also went grape picking one morning. The kids had a blast. And I was overjoyed to finally have FRESH grape juice. It took us the rest of the day to make the 122 lbs of grapes into juice.
It was all worth it though. I'm so lucky to have such a great husband who really did most of the work!







Brayden is just plain cute in this picture with all of his "puppies". We have Patch jr. on the far left, then Patch, the big one is Rufus, and Charlie is on Brayden's other side. He says, "they love me soooooo much!!" He is just so cute.


In between sessions of General conference we decorated for Halloween. The kids are happy to have all our Halloween friends back out in the open.







We just went to Grisamore Farm to pick apples last night for FHE.

Evan must get it from his Dad! Josh wanted to make the blog, so he posed as much as possible!!

The kids get a lot of their cuteness from their Dad. . . as evident in these pictures. They also all love to pose for pictures. Brayden didn't move from this spot for a couple of minutes. . . just to make sure I got a good one of him saying "cheese". So funny.




So many apples, so few hands!!

Well, that is all for now. It's been a fun month. I am almost done canning and drying. We canned and dried 1 and a half bushel each of peaches and pears. Juiced 122lbs of grapes, and I now only have about a bushel of apples (which we just got) to dry. We are very happy with all our results!!

We also REALLY LOVE FALL!!!

Andrew Freeman Cobb

Well, good news!! I was able to FINALLY get my scanner to scan in this picture better. I don't know why it didn't work last week, but I decided to have another go at it and IT WORKED!! I am very happy about this. Our doctor's office got a new machine and they can now do the 3D/4D pictures of the babies. We were only able to get Andrew on this particular day - Addison had the cord all in front of her face - but we hope to get them both again in a couple of weeks. But for now. . . doesn't he really look like my other boys?? I think so. So crazy this new technology!

So, I would like to introduce you to Andrew Freeman Cobb. So CUTE!!

Evan's first day of Kindergarten

Evan started kindergarten today. He couldn't wait for it to happen, but I could! It actually was kinda lucky that I had a doctor's appointment so early because then we were all rushing and leaving at once.
