NY State Fair

So, despite the rainy forecast we headed to the NY State Fair on Saturday. It turned out to be perfect weather and a great day for the fair!

The kids had a lot of fun doing all sorts of things. We walked around for a bit and then hit the rides first thing.

The bumper cars were their first choice. They had fun on them, but Brayden was to small to drive one by himself. It was cute watching them try to steer around the rink.

Addison was enjoying a nice snack during the ride part of the day. She's so cute. Her and Andrew just relax in the stroller and watch everything going on.

They both chose to go on these little dragons. They liked these too.

Evan in blue and Brayden in green. Those are their colors and it worked out perfect on this ride!!

Brayden wanted to ride this fire truck, so Josh rode with him. Evan chose to ride a roller coaster. . . we should have picked a different coaster because the one he rode was faster and more rickety than the other two choices. I'm sure he'll give it another try next time. Brayden and Josh had fun in this fire truck though, it went up and around in a circle.

After the rides we went to the 4H tent. They had a lot of fun little games for the kids like bean bag toss and horse shoes. They also got to be on this fake horse which was kinda fun for them. They won a ribbon and a silly band (despite my best efforts of them never owning such a thing, they go to this tent and win one as a prize!! aaaahhh!!). They had fun.

Here we are watching a dueling pirate diving show. Evan liked it ok.

Brayden, on the other hand, was asleep! Addison is still so cute!

Evan got to put his head in a cow in the dairy building. That was a fun building, lots of ice cream options!! Brayden still doesn't know that he slept through the ice cream treat. . . not going to tell him.

This is us leaving. Had to show that Brayden did wake up eventually! He was happy. We got to also see a circus, and the smallest horse EVER!, and got to eat food and cotton candy and funnel cake and ice cream, and whatever else we could think of. The kids had a really good time. We were there for seven hours, and it went by very smoothly. . . really thanks to the Dredge's (friends in our ward) for letting us borrow another double stroller which happens to be exactly like ours. We were a sight walking around the fair, but it was still fun!

This is a great video of the kids "milking" a "cow". Really it's water and a plastic cow, but it was cool for them anyway.

We will more than likely go back again next year. We love fairs. . . no, I mean we LOVE cotton candy so we LIKE fairs!! Good times!!
