Baby, Baby, and more Baby!

So, we begin the journey with one last look at me. This is a picture of me at 37 weeks. Really, I was HUGE!! Why didn't anyone tell me?? Don't try to tell me it wasn't so, I'm not dumb. For reminders of what I looked like at 15, 25, and 30 weeks see this post.

Here I am getting settled into my hospital bed. It wasn't really that comfortable at this time, nor after the surgery.

This is my cute husband in his "gear". We were waiting for everyone else to be ready, mostly the guy with the drugs, but he showed up eventually.

This is less than five minutes after the babies came out. The nurses were really excited to get a family picture taken of us. I was just wondering why I was even in this picture. Come on, I was still cut open and not really in the mood for a picture, but ok. The babies were really cute, and I even got to see them right after they were born because the cribs were in my view. It was pretty cool.
Addison was born at 9:55 am, and weighed 6 lbs 15 oz - 18.5 inches long. Andrew was born at 9:56 am and weighed 6 lbs 3 oz - 19 inches long. I really couldn't figure out where all that fit inside of me, then I looked at that first picture and I figured it out.

Here are the babies in their shared crib.

Evan and Brayden got to come to the hospital once to visit. They were really cute with the babies and were really excited to see them and hold them. Evan was really worried about my cut, and wanted to make sure it was ok, so I had to show it to him so he would worry about me. He also told me that he missed me more than I missed him. He is such a wonderful boy.

For the kids to come into the room, they had to wash up and wear masks. They took them off once they were inside, but Brayden thought they were pretty cool, and so we had him put it back on for some pictures. He's funny. He too really enjoyed the babies.

Cute kids. Addison is on the left in the pink cap, and Andrew is on the right in the yellow. They are so very precious!

This is Andrew ans Addison getting ready for the trip home. Of course I had to have "matching" outfits. They were so cute in them.

The proud Daddy with his two newborns. All are so excited to go home.

We wrapped them like hot dogs before we went out. Our babies really like to be swaddled tightly. I thought these to were so cute just lying there.

Well, that is all I have for now. There will be many more blogs to follow with our new additions as the main theme. It should be a fun year of many firsts and many lasts. We are so thankful to have Addison and Andrew as part of our family. Welcome home cute ones.

Jennie, you deserve a medal for carrying those babies!! Evelyn weighed 5 lbs 6 oz. It's like I wasn't even pregnant compared to carrying 13 pounds of baby! I'm so so so happy for you guys. Your babies are beautiful.

SO adorable!!! You guys make cute kids! How fun to have twins! You should probably have a few more. I've never seen twins born as big as if they were single births. That's so awesome. Cant wait to see more blogs and updates.

Okay, so I am totally teary right now. (I'm obviously a little late at viewing the blog.) I LOVE the pics of your twin babies. SOOO SWEET AND SOOO PRECIOUS. I love that Braeden said he missed you more than you missed him. I think that started the teary-ness. (Is that even a word??) Anyway, I just think babies are such a miracle and I'm so glad you added 2 more to your beautiful family. I miss being in the same ward as you guys.
