Well, although the 4th of July was a little less thrilling than normal, we ended up having a good time. We had our friends the Chambers over for a BBQ and to just hang out. It turned out well as you can see. The wind was blowing like mad, and it was a little chilly, but no one really seemed to mind. I was grateful that Josh remembered toward the end, to go and get the camera. My mind isn't the same these days!! So, he isn't in any of the pictures, and of course, neither am I. . . he took pictures of me, but I'm not crazy enough to put them on!! I'll embarrass myself later!! :) Thanks Chambers for coming over and making a rather depressing day into something fun!! (I say depressing because Ithaca has no idea how to celebrate a holiday. . . not even one display of anything remotely 4th of July could be found in the stores. They don't even do fireworks on the fourth. They are all done a day or two before the 4th for some odd reason or other that we normal people don't quite understand!! ) Anyway, Happy 4th of July!!

The kids had fun trying to roast their own marshmallows.
It was also fun to hang and climb on the swing!

Okay, I finally found your blog again. Yay! Love all the pictures. And I can not believe Ithaca doesn't do anything for the 4th of July!!! How sad. I wonder why? I'm glad you guys had your own celebration though. We need to have you guys over when we get back in town again. Hope you are doing okay, or as well as can be expected!:)
