Twins are 1!!! WOW!

So, can you believe it all started like this. . .

One year ago (the 27th of November) I went from way HUGE (yes, I know!! Can you believe I was THAT pregnant? It still shocks me!) pregnant to
this cuteness. . .


and this cuteness. . .


and we can't forget the cuteness of both these pictures!!


From sleeping angels to. . .

CRAZINESS!!! Look how big!! Now they eat food and lick beaters, drink milk, and move, move, move!!



Saturday morning they woke up to shaped pancakes, chocolate beaters, and a whole pile of presents and cards.

We let them take their time to open what they could by themselves. It was really cute to watch. Evan and Brayden had a hard time being patient. They wanted to help, but we just mostly let the babies take their time.

She was also a VERY good helper to her Dad while he put the walker together.

After their nap they got to have a snack in their NEW chairs. We are so happy to have them. The last chairs they had were good, but they had out stayed their welcome. Best thing about these chairs. . . dishwasher safe!


Andrew tested them out thoroughly to see if he could escape. He couldn't.

Then it was on to cupcakes and ice cream (after dinner of course). I had a hard time coming up with a cake to make, so we just stuck with the cute cupcakes and called it good. They didn't know the difference since they are just 1.




They couldn't help staring at them and trying to get them ahead of time.

Happy Birthday my two cutie pies!! A year ago we couldn't imagine life with you! Now it's impossible to imagine it without you!! We love you both VERY much!

Black Friday 2010 :) plus a surprise!

So, for black friday this year I had a list of places I needed to go, things I needed to get, and lines I needed to wait in. Well, all the things I had planned were thwarted by the fabulous event of online black friday shopping. . . the day before!! Yes, Thanksgiving morning I got up and had all my black friday shopping done by 6am! What a relief! I didn't have to get up at 3am!! This also meant the plans could be re-arranged and the whole family could go out with me! So we got up, got ready and left our house at 6:30am. I went to collect next years fabric for our Christmas pj's from Joann's great sale, then we headed to McDonalds for what Evan declared "the best breakfast ever!!" Then, yes, the whole family went to wal-mart. Was it still crazy?? A little, but really manageable. The kids were able to get presents for the sibling whose name they had drawn in our drawing, and we were able to pick up a few necessities. Then, we were able to go and get our Christmas tree. We went to Lowe's. Not really ceremonial chopping down of the tree, but quick, fun and worth it! Here are some of the pictures from our great day!

We did decorate the whole house later that day. Since we got home by 10:30am we still had a lot of time to get other things done!


The kids got to wrap their presents for each other. Evan wrapped his for Brayden all by himself!

The day before her birthday our little girl took her first steps!! She was commemerating in her own way Black Friday. She was, after all, born on a Black Friday! (ps. we were able to get 2009 black friday t-shirts from a website I follow. They were so nice they gave them to us for free!! They were last years shirts after all! Thanks bfads.net!!)



She is so cute, and we are so proud of her!! Congratulations Addison!

Grandpa Dance's visit

My Dad was able to come for a few days last week. We really loved having him here. We forgot the camera for some of the fun we had, but we managed a few shots the night before he left. We love you!!

The admiration of a little sister. Addison just loves Evan and I loved capturing this shot.



Oh, I kept my Dad busy. He helped me with a project I've been putting off for a while now. This closet used to have a visible heat duct going up. . . made for an ineffective closet. Dad put the wall's in around it and put the two shelves up with the coat rod. SO VERY GRATEFULL!!!! The door doesn't even stick anymore!

Thanks Dad for coming! We had fun getting to see you. See you again in a couple of months!!

Andrew on the move!

Andrew and Addison both LOVE music. They dance and dance to fun songs, and sometimes it allows me to leave the room. . . as long as the music is fun. Wether they are standing or sitting, they bob the same. So cute.



Now this is pure EXCITING!! Watch what my little boy can do now!! Grandpa Dance picked a GREAT week to come and visit with this just starting in the last two days.


In case the first video just wasn't enough. . . here is more!! So proud of him. He is doing such a great job. He just kept practicing in the living room all day today.







Wow, a walker. Can't believe we are on the verge. Addison isn't as close, but she has surprised me in the past, so we shall see. Andrew is right on target with the other two boys.

Halloween 2010

Halloween this year was full of parties, parties, and more parties. It was a lot of fun.

This is Evan's school party/parade. It was cold outside and they still made the kids march outside. Horrible people. We were freezing. The class was cute though. Evan is on the far left in the pteranadon costume. It was a little small for him, but the only pteranadon costume I could fine. I may have had better luck making it. . . oh well. He liked it enough.



After Evan's school party we hurried home to finish the preparations for our party. We held it out in our garage, and it was full of fun games and fun food.


These are our "brains" no one would eat them for awhile. . . I finally sliced one open so they would see that it was just watermelon. Funny. Brayden loved them and almost ate a complete brain by himself on Sunday afternoon when we had dinner with the sister missionaries. They thought it was funny he kept asking for "more brain please". So proud.



The are my yummy cinnamon rolls. Just wanted to make them so I made them Halloweenish.


These are our witches fingers. They were the most popular with the kids. Gone quickly.


This is part of our garage. I didn't get a shot before hand, but it looked pretty cool. Josh even blew up 120 balloons for me and they were all over the floor. They were part of a game, so they were all popped and cleaned up before the night was over.


This is another part of our game. It was digging for worms. I learned a lot here. . .3 and 4 year olds really should use their hands while older kids diving in with their mouths is just fine. They enjoyed it.

Another part of the same game was this mummy wrap. I was so IMPRESSED with the Cobb family representatives. Those two boys did FABULOUS!! A mother couldn't be any prouder!! Watch and see how well they did.







They ended up getting second place which was so great as they were the youngest team.

This was their prize! They were thrilled to get to pick this witch. They wanted her when I bought her as a prize, so for them to get her was just great!! I really was SO PROUD of those two kids!!!


This was part of our scavenger hunt. It's the graveyard.

It was dark by the time they went out, we had a light shining on the graveyard so they could see it. It turned out well.


This was my favorite part. We leveled a path through our "forest" behind our house. It's really weeds, but it was really cool.


This was what the path led to. They also had a light shining on them. Those teeth on the ground glowed in the dark and shone great in the light. Each team was suppose to bring back an item from each place they visited with their specific number on it. It was quite funny how many teeth we found on the ground the next day that still had numbers on them. I'm pretty sure the first three teams actually had their correct number when they returned. . . I may not have been as vigilant after 1st, 2nd and 3rd place were taken. Still, it made me think about it.


This is the trashed pumpkin patch. Between a little rain before the party and all the kids trampling through the paper pumpkins didn't fair well. They were good for the moment though.


This is Matilda. She really is a part of our family. She was hung in the "witches hut" and would cackle when they opened the door. I was told it was the most scariest of places they visited.

I would have a picture of our pirate ship, but it was really lame and I was fully aware of that. I didn't put as much thought into it as some of the other areas.

It was a great scavenger hunt. It was a great party!! Thanks for coming everyone!

The next night was the ward Trunk or treat. These are before pictures.

This is our family this year. We originally planned on Toy Story 3 characters. . . but over time eveyone kinda changed their minds so we went with it. Just a hodge podge of costumes. It was fun to get to dress in my witch costume again!!

The kids got a great amount of candy, so they were happy.

Halloween morning I made these pancakes for the kids to say Happy Halloween.


We also had the sister missionaries over and just enjoyed the day. It was a good day overall!

Twins 11 months old!

This is Addison once she sees the camera!! As you will see in some of the following photos my babies have become quite fond of the camera. They know to smile!! So cute.



Cute little scientist. She didn't really like these on, but paused for her picture for one moment. I was glad I got the one shot because she only gave me one chance.


So cute. What can I say.


I think they are getting cuter the older they get.


Addison isn't the only one who likes to smile for the camera. . . Andrew is also a pro. so sweet and handsome.

The 11th month brought a lot of fun foods for my babies. They got to eat Chocolate cake on Brayden's birthday.


Chicken on a bone. . . also for Brayden's birthday.


Even while eating they smile for the camera!!


Their first beaters. I whipped some whip cream for our party. . . they were the lucky recipients of the beaters. They loved them.


Overall the 11th month was a good month. They grew, had fun, tried new things, and overall laughed an cried a lot. They are so much fun and we love having them. Addison now has four teeth, Andrew still has seven. Can't believe they are almost one. . . that will be a blog.
