Evan's 5th Birthday

So, Evan had a great day today for his birthday. He got to pick his meals, open presents, get a new puppy, play with the puppy most the day, and then see his Wall-E cake. He really had fun. Be aware, there are a few pictures, and two video's to look at. . . but they are all very cute!! Thanks Grandma and Granpa Dance and Grandma and Grandpa Cobb for the presents you sent. He did enjoy them.

This is the present from Grandpa and Grandma Cobb. A shirt and a magnifying glass.

This is the outfit that Grandma and Grandpa Dance sent.

This is the car lego set that Grandpa and Grandma Dance sent.

Grandma and Grandpa Dance also put 5 one dollar bills in his card. He thought that was great!

We got him Wall-E sheets.

We also got him a spiderman slip and slide which we will hopefully get better pictures of tomorrow when his friends come over.

This is his new puppy. His name is Patch.

This is his Wall-E cake. One of the easiest and best ones I've done thus far.

This is Evan and his cake. He really loved it!!

This is Evan blowing out his Candles.

This is the video of Evan opening his puppy.

This is Evan and his first "playing" time with Patch. He was really cute.

So, that was our day. It was good, and we now have a five year old. I can not believe it!!

Hortin's Come to Visit

We were very blessed to have some of our greatest friends come to visit us from Utah. They came and we toured the WHOLE state of NY. We went to Palmyra and saw the Sacred Grove and Hill Cumorah. Then it was onto an area tour of Ithaca, then off to New York City. Thanks so much to Pat for letting us crash at your apartment. We're sorry we missed Julie!! We had fun riding the subway, the bus, touring ground zero, the empire state building, the Natural History Museum, and the next day getting to the Statue of Liberty. I really enjoyed the statue of Liberty, and so did Evan. Everyone really did. Then, we came home, took a day off (Josh and I got to go see the new Star Trek movie. We highly recommend it!! We feel it is the best Star Trek movie ever made, and Josh even thinks it's better than Lord of the Rings. . . that's saying something). The last day, Saturday, we went up to Niagara Falls. It was a lot of fun and, next to the movie :), the highlight for Josh!! We all really loved it and really, really had a great time!! Thanks Brian and Ariel for choosing to spend your vacation with us!! We love and miss you!

We are lucky to live in this area. We get to show my parents around at the end of July, and I CAN'T WAIT. My Father will absolutely LOVE the sacred grove!

Here are the two slide shows of our trip with the Hortin's. It was really so much fun!

Visit from Grandpa and Grandma Cobb

Grandpa and Grandma Cobb came to visit us for one night this last week. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed their visit. They stopped by on their way home from Niagara Falls, and we were just really glad to have them.

Grandpa Cobb was really excited to see we had a trampoline. As you can see he really enjoyed himself. . . for a short while at least!! It's more of a work out than one would think.

So then Grandma Cobb gave it a try. She did a great job and Evan was able to teach her some of the best ways to jump. It was great fun to watch!!

Thanks for visiting with us. We hope to see you again soon!!

Memorial Day

So, for Memorial day we stayed at home and worked, worked, worked. Josh got a lot of outside chores done including, cleaning out the puppy house, weed wacking, getting some rocks out of the garden, and other such things. He worked very hard. About half way through the day Evan came running out of the house with his tools in hand and his safety goggles on. He then declared that he needed to cut down this HUGE maple tree. The following photos are of him and his brother working hard to cut down the tree. They were very funny and cute.

Rain, Hail, and Josh

So, we had a great storm the other day. It down poured really, really hard. Then it turned to hail. Fairly large pieces. Josh decided he needed to save his bike, so he went out to put it away and got soaking wet. He came in laughing saying "that was so fun!" So, I made him go back out so we could get a picture of him soaking wet in the hail!!
